Sustainable, Agriconfiance-certified
The Cercle des Vignerons de Saint Louis is a small cooperative which belongs to the larger Union des Cooperatives, Les Vignerons d'Estandon. Founded in 1947, the Union is dedicated to improving viticulture and winemaking techniques among its members, and provides them with technical, marketing and distribution services.
Their members work sustainably, preserving the character and quality of the landscape. All corks used are produced from sustainable harvest from local oaks in the Var region.
The Vignerons d’Estandon is certified by AgriConfiance, the main keeper of the sustainable agriculture flame in many sectors of the French agriculture scene.
Diamarine Rose
Diamarine, a Coteaux Varois en Provence, is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
Grown on schist-based soils on the Massif des Maures (Plateau of the Moors), an isolated and largely undeveloped region largely consisting of dense forested ridges of stone pine, chestnut, holly and cork oak. Wild boars frequent the area for acorns and chestnuts, snuffling through the undergrowth of lavender, rosemary, myrtle, broom and boxwood, and horned owls soar through the forests, while endemic snakes, lizards and rare tortoises live among the caves and crevasses.
The wine is bright and clean, with a subtle nose of strawberry, and a lingering finish. A great example of Provence Rose- perfect summertime wine!
