Karl Shaefer
Founded in 1843, the winery first gained prominence under its namesake Karl Schaefer. Today it is run by the 6th generation of the family, Dr. Job and (is it Nana or Nell?). Shaefer has been a member of the VDP (Association of Quality Wineries) for over 100 years, and is certified organic.
